Sodium Carbonate or Soda Ash is commonly used to raise pH in swimming pools and whirlpools.

Application

Sodium Carbonate is best administered to the water with the use of a chemical metering pump c/w an automatic water flush controller. To calculate a 4% solution Slurry Tank Water Volume (L) x 0.04 = Kg. of sodium carbonate to add to a full tank of water. Note:  Maintaining swimming pool/whirlpool water at a pH of 7.2 is an essential part of maximizing chlorine effectiveness and preventing water chemistry problems.
